It had been 45 years since Huddersfield Town were last seen in the top flight of English football. In their previous stint they were relegated after two seasons, finishing the 1971 – 72 season with 25 points. Before then, previous stints in the Football League First Division were more fruitful. In 1926, they won a hat trick of League Championships. For most of that period, they were managed by Herbert Chapman.

In 1925, he moved from Leeds Road to Highbury Stadium, where he gained greater success with Arsenal. Ironically, 92 years on, both teams would turn to CryoAction for our state-of-the-art cryotherapy chambers. There’s a chance some hardcore Terriers would think January temperatures in Huddersfield are as cold as our chambers. Which is a great exaggeration.

Taking us to 2017, Huddersfield Town and its players has benefited from our version of the chill factor. A chill factor that has improved performance on the pitch and the players’ wellbeing. So far, they have started well this season. They are unbeaten in the Barclays Premier League and through to the Third Round of the Football League Cup. After beating Rotherham United 2 – 1, they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in their next round.

We at CryoAction would like to wish Huddersfield Town the very best in the 2017 – 18 season and hope the Terriers reach their full potential. Who, in 2014, thought Leicester City could be Premier League title winners? Could fortune favour the Terriers? So far, from what we have seen this season, AFC Bournemouth almost got a point against Manchester City, and Watford started with an opening day point against Liverpool.

Ooh aah, to be a Terrier…? A good time to get up to the John Smiths Stadium? Not till the 16 September when they host The CryoAction Derby against our fellow clients, Leicester City.
