Wales mark 1 – 0 win over Austria with a session in one of CryoAction’s cryotherapy chambers
Wales are on the verge of making history. Their international football squad are close to being the first Wales side to reach the World Cup Finals since 1958. On Saturday night [02 September], they recorded a memorable 1 – 0 win over Austria. It was made all the more memorable for Ben Woodburn’s international debut. With his first Welsh cap, the 17-year-old marked his appearance at Cardiff City Stadium with a sensational goal.
With this result, you would have thought Chris Coleman’s side would have had a drink or two. Instead of an ice cold lager, they went for something several times cooler: a session in a CryoAction cryotherapy chamber. Shortly after Saturday’s fixture, their ‘unusual celebration’ and one of our chambers were captured for posterity on the Daily Mail website.
Cryotherapy chambers have become an important addition for sports clubs. Their use in aiding recovery and improving fitness has been well documented on various websites including our very own. Gymnasia, fitness centres and health spas have also been wowed by their benefits.
For the Welsh international team, CryoAction’s cryotherapy chambers will come into their own for Wales’ last two qualifying fixtures. Next month, Wales travel to Georgia on the 06 October. This is followed by a home game against the Republic of Ireland on the 09 October.
Before we close, we shall leave you with a clip of Ben Woodburn’s debut goal (via the FAWales YouTube channel).
